How to start an online store today and be making money tomorrow.

I'm about to let you in on a little secret: starting an online business is painfully easy. It's mind-bendingly easy. It's confusingly easy. "Confusingly easy, you say?" you say. "Is that even possible?" Yes, my friend. It's confusingly easy because I can't figure out why everyone isn't doing it. You don't need a fancy website, a business plan, or even a DBA. You just need figure out how to mail items, and then think of something you're really passionate about, whether that's vintage clothes, old books, handmade jewelry, or even crocheted bags of dicks. You know how to mail stuff? Holy soap, this is business is almost going to make itself!

Countdown to Christmas: Day 5 - The end is near!

Ah yes, that weird feeling of driving off a cliff. I remember it from last year. At some point, the Christmas orders slow down as people realize it's probably too late to shop for Christmas presents online. Last year, we set that date at 12/21 and updated the web notification (that bar across the top) to say we were out of town through the end of the year, and then we left. We drove off our own cliff. Countdown to Christmas: Day 16 - Using all the brain cells, with varying degrees of success

HOO boy. This week has been one of the most intense of my career. I'm in Orlando right now, waiting to get on the airplane that will take me to LA for Renegade Craft Fair. Countdown to Christmas: Day 23 - Stock alert! Unicorn Poop is critically low (on Amazon)!

The sugar is hitting the fan! (ok, that was a cheap Unicorn Poop joke) I imagined that I had sent all the stock we needed to send to Amazon for the entire holidays in early November. A couple weeks into November, it was clear that we would have to send more, so I sent another hundred or so bars. In the last month (Nov 3 - Dec 3), we have sold 309 bars of Unicorn Poop through Amazon.

Outlaw Soaps on Amazon

Because our customers are generally people who care about our business (which we very much appreciate), we periodically get questions about Outlaw Soaps on Amazon. How much money do they take? How does that work? Do you fulfill the orders that get placed through Amazon?   I personally really love Amazon and use them to shop for random stuff all the time. We even ordered a new tail light for our Element! No one can argue that they're now a fully ingrained fixture in our lives...
