We've written many posts about how much we love our customers. It's no lie: y'all are the best best best. I love following our customers on Instagram, because we really do have the most interesting, fun, cool customers.
From time to time, we get tagged in posts, and it always blows me away with happiness.
Because I have not much else to write about today, I figured I could share some of the recent shout-outs on Instagram:
One of the highlights of this Summer has been our travel adventures.
When the Western Folklife Center in Elko, Nevada (home of the world famous Cowboy Poetry Gathering) wrote us about carrying our soaps, I was beside myself with excitement. Here was this place that I had been fantasizing about going to... and they wanted our products!! It was one of those celebrity moments.
It also happened to be around the Perseid Meteor Shower, so, with multiple kinds of stars in our eyes, we decided to set out across the fair state of Nevada and make our way to Elko.
Russ and I are very excited to introduce Ruth, our newest honest-to-goodness Customer Service and Fulfillment Manager!
We're just amazed she found us, and is such a perfect fit for our company.

Some big news happened since the beginning of this month and I haven't said ANYTHING about it here on the blog.
This is actually quite insane, but the reason is because we have been working our tails off and haven't been able to sufficiently focus on the store, the grand soapening, or even maintaining regular hours.
It may surprise you to know that opening a retail store hasn't ever been a big dream of ours. But...
That was the sunrise on Mt. Diablo this morning.
For the last month, I have been leaving the house before dawn (sometimes even in my pajamas) and setting up my camera to capture time lapse videos of the "golden hour" (or "magic hour"). While I film, I write in a few journals (yes, I keep multiple journals) and enjoy two hard boiled eggs and my fancy pantsy coffee in my rattlesnake mug.

We want potential customers to know that getting a box from Outlaw Soaps is a delightful experience even beyond the items specifically ordered. We want them to know that we have relationships with our customers (but not creepy relationships), and that by buying from us, they're not only getting a high quality product, but supporting a small, American handmade business.
And we can type marketing messages until our fingers bleed, but customers believe real testimonials.

Because our customers are generally people who care about our business (which we very much appreciate), we periodically get questions about Outlaw Soaps on Amazon.
I personally really love Amazon and use them to shop for random stuff all the time. We even ordered a new tail light for our Element! No one can argue that they're now a fully ingrained fixture in our lives...
