Road to Renegade, Part 2: Treasure Island Flea

HOORAY!

Check this out:

That's the mural I painted and talked about in the previous "Road to Renegade" post.

Russ (seated) made a structure that was curved and without overhead structure, so the light could fall on the mural evenly, and the appearance of a panorama could be better achieved.

You can see it from a little further away here:

As you can see, it's pretty good, but it could be a little higher (by about 2'), to really give a better appearance of what one of my friends called "a booth diorama." So we're going to work on that for next time.

The reason we're trying all this fancy stuff out at the Treasure Island Flea (where most people, as you can see in the sides, have pretty basic setups), is because we want to really present well at Renegade Craft Fair.

I'm pretty proud of our set-up now (despite needing a little work). People came up to us many times throughout the day and told us how much they loved our mural. They were all surprised when I said I did it myself and had no painting experience.

It was a really great day. We're both really excited!

Countdown: 16 days!
